Awwww...my new baby boy :)

I was amazed at how small he was and he's 9 weeks!! He's starting to crawl around some so I bet Kermit will mostly eat and sleep!! I'm used to gliders at 9 weeks old being already independent - lol...The monks were pretty much weaned at 9 weeks too even though I continuted giving them bottles...I think Kodiak will get a bottle until he's 20 - lol...

hahaha what kind of smaller cage do you have pics?

He's just in one of my sugar glider cages...the 18 x 36 x 36 with the stuff hanging close to the floor below a shelf. He's sleeping in a ferret cube (same my monks sleep in) and I have a hammock that goes across the cage incase he decides to climb it will catch him if he falls.

He loves to lay in my lap and play/wrestle under a blanket. So that's how we play right now.

awwwww make sure he doesnt think playing too rough is okay tho but i am sure you already know that lol..

I'm going to "try" to go to the SGGA. If it wasn't Kathy putting it on I probably wouldn't make it but want to go for her and know she is going to put on an awesome show...I'll be driving and it's about an 8-9 hour drive, blah...

We are already learning that it's not ok to bite...he's doing pretty good and would rather cuddle and get kisses than bite so lets hope it stays that way I think being a bottle baby is helping too..

Will Kermit be on a bottle or do they bowl train them? I asked Susan to put Kodiak on a bottle. All the bottle babies I've had (from goats to foxes, etc have always stayed pretty bonded and tame

I totally believe in the bottle and bonding...you should try to get him on a bottle too. Kodiak eats from a bowl but gets his formula from a bottle

Right now his favorite food is mushed bananas and papaya. He did try to steal a french fry from me last night but gave him banana instead and he was happy.

what milk and what size bottle do i use?
THe puppy milk? how do i mix it up?

Kodiak is on Esbalic puppy milk...1/2 cup water 1/4 cup powdered milk and a couple tablespoons of Gerber Rice baby cereal. His bottle came with him...it's a small bottle and a weird looking nipple...I'll see if I can find a picture of one. He gets a bottle 2 to 3 times a day about an ounce of formula each time. He's eating fruits really well by themselves so I don't add any banana to his formula. He also gets some dog food (she has him on Beneful but I'm going to slowly switch him over to monkey biscuits) soaked in 1/2 water 1/2 apple juice.

How long will he be on the bottle? And what do you feed them when they are off the bottle besides the fruit and veggies and monkey bisquits?

He will be on a bottle as long as he will take it. It's great for bonding!! He's 9 weeks old now so I figure he will start weaning himself. I'm hoping I can continue to give him a bottle in the evenings for a long time. I know Savannah will still take a bottle and she's a year old.

He gets Esbalic puppy milk with a little rice baby cereal in his bottle. Then he gets the rest in a bowl..he's a good eater and right now demands his morning and nighttime bottle
