Jelly Bangles

Post by mysticangel on Sun Apr 05, 2009 2:55 pm

If you have any toys with jelly bangles on them please take them off the toys and out of the cage. I lost a glider last night due to the jelly bangle that was on a toy that has been in their cage off and on for the 3 years I have had them. The glider had the bangle wrapped around his neck and mid section and couldn't get out of it. So PLEASE everyone remove them if you have them in your cages. Also vendors I beg you to stop using them on toys that you make.

I am so sorry, Tonya. Crying or Very sad Do you have pictures of what you're talking about? Is it just the regular jelly bracelets?? If so, I think I only have one toy with those on & will be cutting them off.

I know it was one of those freak accidents cause like I said the toy has been in their cage off and on for the last 3 years. But I figured if it could happen to my sweet baby it could happen again to another glider and wanted to share this with everyone, to maybe save another glider and to keep another person from having to go through the grief of finding their baby the way I did. I will never get that picture out of my head. I blame myself cause I have questioned the jellies before but thought since so many used them they were safe and never removed them from the few toys I have here that have them on the toys.Crying or Very sad

Tonya
I'm so very sorry for your loss. Thank you for taking the time to warn others so that no more are lost this way. I don't have anything with those bracelets in my home, and you can bet I for sure will not now.
I'm sorry! hug
