Post by kthiessen on Sun Feb 15, 2009 1:54 am

I put together a website listing area attractions for this years SGGA. There are a ton of things to do in the Kansas City area, so if you are looking for something extra to do check out this site for a few ideas.

lol, Kris! I'd totally be up for a night at the casino! I LOVE playing Blackjack...I used to have a bit of a problem, well...not a problem, but I used to spend Friday & Saturday nights at one spot at one blackjack table - for like 10 hours at a time - I love playing!

You have to be 21 in Missouri to enter the casinos.

They must have changed that. When I was younger my mom would take my grandma to the casino and drop me and my older brother in one of the movie theaters. cheers

You don't have to be 21 to enter the building, you have to be 21 to enter the casino floor.

I must not have been to that one yet, doesn't sound familiar. Guess I need to go check some of the ones out that I have been to yet so I can see it.

Re: SGGA Area Attractions

The Ameristar has a buffet that is to DIE for. It is where we "celebrate" birthdays etc. Even do thanksgiving dinner there the past 2 years. It is basically 6 resturants in one, Mexican, Chinese, BBQ, Country cooking, and I can't remember the others. All you can eat plus the salad bar and the desert bar. The Ameristar is kinda like a small shopping center with different resturants and a gift shop and then of course, the casino. While you have to be 21 to go on the casino floor, you do not have to be 21 to go to the resturants.

And the black jack tables...minimum is $5 bets, no buy in. My son got me hooked on black jack. He wins EVERY time he goes in there. Goes in with $200 and comes out with over $1000 every time. Shame he is in Iraq. He makes the "table" so much fun. Gets everyone all jazzed up.
